We tend to equate charming with picturesque and old ; and yet the 17th century Hôtel du Dragon, which has been done in a very modern style, certainly has its own charm.

The grey tones of the interior decoration and the designer furniture create a somewhat cold atmosphere, but the friendly, welcoming staff and the beautiful contemporary paintings quicly compensate for this. The very confortable bedrooms face onto the quiet streets of the historic quarter.

There is no restaurant, but delicious breakfasts are served on pretty china from the café Costes ( if you admire the paintings, some are for sale ). For restaurants, Mr Iannarelli will give you good recommendations, but be sure to visit Chez Yvonne, one of the most popular wine bars in the city.
