Musée
d'Orsay: |
The Musée d'Orsay houses a magnificent art collection which dates from 1848 to the beginning of the 20th century, placing it neatly between the Louvre's and the Pompidou Center's. It is mainly known as an impressionist and neo-impressionist museum, but there are many other things to be seen here. Originally a train station dating from 1900, the building itself is interesting and gorgeous. |

The Eugene Delacroix Museum is located where the painter himself lived and died. The building remains mostly unchanged. The collection contains drawings and sketches of his grand works and a number of paintings including "La Madeleine au Désert". |
