Demand being often greater than supply , it is quite difficult to get a room in halls of residence; this despite a program of construction of 30000 studios for students that has been launched. University residences managed by le C.R.O.U.S (Centre régionaux des oeuvres universitaires) which offers rooms at around 700 F per month.a cité internationale universitaire de Paris which, as it's name suggests, is more international in character and offers rooms at around 1500 F per month.

Places being scarce, it is recommended that you apply the January before the start of university (even for those not sure of being accepted by the university). To do this you should go the accommodation service of the CROUS to get the necessary forms. If you can't go in person they can be sent to you.

Single room: around 700F

Apartment for couples: around 1700F

 

La cité universtaire internationale de Paris

Situated in the middle of a 40 hectare park, it resembles an American unversity campus, so no excuse for home sickness. There are around 5000 students in its 37 houses who come from France and all round the world.

Each house represents, in general, a country or Parisian school. An American student for example should address himself directly to the house of the United States to obtain an application form. Other students who are not sure to which house they correspond should apply to the service of
